Conciencia-Afro: Conversations about the Realities of Afro-descendents in Spain

Madrid-based collective Conciencia-Afro offers this Seminar Series to make visible the racial issue of Afro-descendants in Spain, a point of view which has received little attention so far in Spain and needs to be addressed urgently.

Conciencia Afro was founded in the context of the Festival Afroconciencia 2016, as a group for collective thinking and action with the mission to raise consciousness within the Afro-descendant community in Spain about the need to reclaim participation in political and cultural institutions. From this position, they support independence, creativity, and the promotion of cultural and social entrepreneurs from the community.

All sessions will take place as Zoom Webinars at 12:30pm EST/EDT [6:30pm Madrid]
(Except for March 24th, 1:30pm EDT)
Pre-registration is required. All sessions in Spanish.
